Eamon Kromka – Owner/Manager
Born and raised in Carteret County, Eamon has spent a lifetime in and around the marine and construction industries. He enjoys bringing vision and quality craftsmanship into every project, and is honored to be leading the Genesis Team. He has a beautiful family, and he loves our local area and its people.
In The Office
Kristie Ensley – Office Manager
Kristie was born and raised in Hampton Roads, Virginia. She spent the last 16 years in Elizabeth City, NC and relocated to the Crystal Coast when her life partner, Kathy received a job promotion. Kristie loves the outdoors and enjoys the beach, fishing, kayaking, and riding ATV’s. She has been in the healthcare industry for over 30 years and is excited to join the Genesis team and learn more about the construction industry.
Regan Burns – Designer
Regan was raised in the Raleigh area and stayed there for the start of her career. After driving to Pine Knoll Shores constantly to visit family Regan made the decision to move to carteret county. She enjoys modern architecture, painting and spending time with her nieces and nephews. Regan loves all aspects of design and is excited to assist Genesis’ customers in making houses feel like their home.
Jeremy Smith – Documentation Specialist
After growing up in Carteret County, Jeremy dedicated 20 years to working in the retail industry. While he appreciates the management and customer service skills he acquired in retail he is excited to bring these skills to the Genesis team and launching the new Storm Provision Program. Jeremy loves spending time with his family, surfing and anytime on the water. He is also potentially the Carolina Hurricane’s biggest fan– Go Canes!!
RJ Hicks – Estimator
RJ moved from Oklahoma to North Carolina in 2021 to be closer to family. He served six years in the Air Force as an Airborne Linguist in the 41st Electronic Attack Squadron, where he developed a strong attention to detail and a keen ability to analyze complex information. After his military career, RJ was introduced to the world of insurance claims while working under a public adjuster. Through this experience, he gained valuable insight into the insurance process, learning how to navigate claims efficiently and ensure fair assessments for homeowners. When he’s not at work, you’ll likely find RJ spending his weekends counting and staring at the stars with his four-year-old son, Ronnie. Genesis is excited to welcome RJ to the team, where his expertise in claims and estimating allows him to provide accurate assessments and guide customers through the process with confidence. His dedication to precision makes him a valuable asset to both the company and the homeowners we serve.

Chadwick Lockey – Project Manager
Chadwick was born in Newport, NC, loves to shoot ducks, stab flounder, and love on people in Carteret County. He has spent over 10 years as a carpenter on custom Carolina Sportfishing yachts and is a licensed aircraft mechanic. The best part of his resume is marrying Carlie in 2009, building a home with her, and making her the ultimate hunting/fishing partner.
Matt Letchner- Roofing Project Manager
Matt grew up in Michigan. His first career took him to the skies, flying in Black Hawk helicopters during his time in the Army. After years of adventure sailing up and down the Eastern Seaboard, he’s now happily settled into a different pace of life here in Carteret County—taking care of his chickens (if you need eggs, Matt’s your guy!). He has taken on the role of Roofing Project Manager at Genesis by storm and runs a tight ship. Matt enjoys the challenges and craftsmanship of the trade and takes pride in ensuring every project is done right.
Jason Tellers- Carpenter
Jason grew up in Minnesota. Went to college in Virginia and graduated with an electrical engineering degree. But better than that, he met his wife to be, Abby at school. Got married to Abby in May 2020 and moved to carteret county to be closer to her family in summer of 2021. Abby and Jason live in Newport with their new baby girl, two cats and Great Pyrenees puppy. Jason enjoys working with my hands and the creativity/challenge of working with new products every work day. He is always looking to learn something new, and appreciates the friendly atmosphere of working at Genesis.
